Mission Statement!

Our responsibility is to raise the consciousness of god's people, through the power of the Holy Spirit and the teaching of the Word of God, of their inherent potential and designed destiny, and the necessity of their unique contribution to the body of Christ.

cdcChristian Development is a grassroots’ ministry that was birthed under the leadership of Dr. I.V. Hilliard the Pastor of New Light Christian Center Church in Houston Texas who is also our Father/Mentor in the faith. Pastor Donald Rucker began teaching a bible study in his home for 1 year. He was directed by God to relocate the ministry to the City of Upland. We have now relocated to the Montclair area. Christian Development Center is a teaching ministry. Our emphasis is to teach the word of God to his people with clarity and understanding. The vision of the ministry is to equipt and mature kingdom builders. The mission statement is to raise the consciousness of God’s people through the power of the Holy Spirit along with the teaching of the word of their created purpose, their inherent potential, their designed destinies, and the necessity of their unique contribution to the body of Christ. We continue to see spiritual growth as well as numerical growth. Christian Development Center has taken the charge seriously to impact the Inland Empire and change lives. During the tragedy of 911 the ministry had a day of prayer for the nation as well as the youth that were returning to school. The city officials of Montclair joined with us in this event. We are in partnership with several ministries Dr. K.C. Price of Crenshaw Christian Center and Bishop/Pastor Dr. I. V. Hilliard, of New Light Christian Center in Houston, TX and Dr. Earl Johnson, of Covenant Life Church in Duarte, CA. We blessed the families that were in the homeless shelter with food items clothing and entertainment. We hosted a financial Seminar called “Empowering the Church to Prosper.” We have recently partnered with other churches to bridge the denominational gap by giving our youth the opportunity to fellowship with other youth.

What you will find

famYou'll see people of all ages, nationality, cultures, and backgrounds. But the gospel of Jesus Christ makes us one family. You'll notice some folks who like to dress up for church and others prefer casual attire. Feel free to wear what's comfortable for you, and you'll fit right in! Our Services includes Praise and Worship, fellowship, and teaching of the WORD directly from the Bible. We'd love to meet you, so feel free to introduce yourself. Please let us know what we can do to care for you while you're here.

Why Choose Us?

We walk by Faith not by Sight

1 Timothy 3:1-3 It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do. An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money.

<>John 21:16-18 He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Shepherd My sheep." He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You " Jesus said to him, "Tend My sheep. "Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to gird yourself and walk wherever you wished; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will gird you, and bring you where you do not wish to go."
